Pipeline Design & Custody-Transfer Metering
The pipeline consists of roughly 3,300 linear feet of 10-inch API 5L X-52 mainline, including 2,100 feet installed via horizontal directional drilling, carrying pipeline-quality gas at 535 psig from two existing interstate laterals to the facility battery limit. A custody-transfer metering skid measures gas volume at the point of transfer, with overpressure protection, cathodic protection, and an emergency shutdown valve installed at the code transition to protect the connecting facility.
Constrained-Corridor Construction & Site Coordination
ZAP’s construction scope included site clearing, access road and pad work, metering skid installation, and hydrostatic testing, coordinated with the connecting carrier’s crews throughout. The project navigated foreign-line and parallel water-line conflicts, rocky backfill conditions, and right-of-way restoration across wooded terrain. The scope demonstrates ZAP’s capability to engineer and construct natural gas interconnect pipelines and custody-transfer metering systems within a constrained corridor.
