Integrity Assessment of Relocated Equipment
Because the relocated equipment had been dismantled and stored rather than operated, its condition governed the design. ZAP managed the integrity assessment of the used equipment and piping, carrying reclaimed pipe and valves forward only where confirmed acceptable for the intended service and retaining their original specifications, while damaged or missing components were identified for replacement.
Field-Verified Design & Asset Redeployment
Field-verified dimensions of the relocated equipment informed new foundation and pipe rack design, ensuring the reused plant would fit and function within its new site configuration. The approach let the client redeploy substantial existing assets rather than buy new, with integrity screening establishing which reclaimed material could be trusted in service and which could not. The project demonstrates ZAP’s capability to integrate mechanical integrity assessment directly into detailed engineering for complex equipment relocation and reuse.
