Material Flow From Truck Receiving to Loadout
The design carries material from truck receiving and stockpile reclaim through screening and kiln feed, calcination, crushing and sizing, silo storage, lime slaking, and truck loadout, with provisions for a future packaging line. A governing requirement was continuous kiln operation with the plant automated to run unattended overnight and on weekends, which shaped the control system and material handling design.
Mass Balance Design Around Vendor Kiln Equipment
ZAP developed a plant-wide mass and material balance from the kiln supplier’s operating parameters to size balance-of-plant equipment and storage, giving the client a coordinated design around fixed vendor equipment with capacity to expand. The project demonstrates ZAP’s capability to integrate balance-of-plant engineering around specialized, vendor-supplied process equipment.
