Matrix-Based Standardization for High-Volume Delivery
ZAP developed a matrix-based engineering approach that scaled facility designs according to the number of wells per site, combining a standard, non-site-specific design package with site-specific bills of material for procurement. This approach allowed engineering packages to be produced consistently at a rate of approximately one facility per week over more than two years, sustaining four facilities per week at peak productivity.
Modular Facility Design & Construction Efficiency
ZAP developed an above-ground, modular wellhead facility design that cut construction time by more than 50 percent compared to conventional approaches. The design and documentation program spanned mechanical, civil, electrical, and instrumentation and controls disciplines, supporting a large, ongoing horizontal drilling program with facility engineering and documentation delivered to construction-ready standards.
Long-Term Program Delivery
The program has continued for multiple years beyond its initial scope, reflecting ZAP’s ability to sustain a long-term engineering relationship and adapt to the client’s evolving facility needs across an active, high-volume drilling program. The project demonstrates ZAP’s capability to deliver standardized, high-volume production facility engineering at program scale.
