Pipeline Pump design
An NGL Pipeline increased operating pressure to 1,440 psig and a client contracted ZAP to install new boost pumps to boost both Cryo plant 1 and plant 2 into the existing pipeline. Two additional centrifugal, horizontal pipeline pumps were installed downstream of the amine treating train for plant 2 and downstream of the existing pipeline pumps for plant 1. The pumps were configured to have the ability to boost either the Plant #1 NGL product, the Plant #2 NGL product, or both streams combined as needed. Discharge pressure is based on 95% of the pipeline MAOP (1440 psig) and limited by existing piping design.
