Soda Ash Load-Out
ZAP completed the engineering and design to modify an existing truck loadout system fed from a storage dome and from the F&I silo to meet Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) regulations. This involved adding a common screen and magnet servicing both circuits. The existing chain conveyors were replaced with a bucket elevator and airslide to feed the new screen and magnet on the storage dome. The screw conveyors feeding the loading spout of the F&I silo feed were replaced with a belt conveyor. ZAP generated a 3D CAD model of the existing plant conditions at the F&I bin, truck loadout, and for the storage dome conveyors using existing drawings and the 3D point cloud. ZAP developed a conceptual model and a RISA model of the existing structures and analyzed added loads from new equipment.
